Porn Parody
If there’s one thing you can say about the porn industry, it’s that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Since the dawn of modern adult entertainment empires - huge studios here and across the pond, with giant budgets and huge distribution networks through magazines, VHS, DVDs and now streaming - a mainstay of their output has been the porn parody.
It’s easy to see why the porn parody is such a popular form of hardcore entertainment - why sit there for hours trying to think of ideas for a porn movie when Hollywood is churning out all the ideas you could ever need? Plus, who hasn’t watched Wonder Woman or Xena: Warrior Princess and thought, “man, I wonder what she would look like without that pesky costume?”.
Sometimes it might be more of an opportunistic venture. We at Babestation have dabbled in the porn parody ourselves, shooting a scene and a trailer for a spoof called "The King’s Piece"(obviously based on the movie "The King’s Speech"). We only did that because our office was around the corner from where they shot the scenes in the office of Lionel Logue (played by Geoffrey Rush) and we had access to the building. When you start to research porn parodies you begin to think that, most of the time, these releases must start with someone coming up with an amusing title, then from there the movie basically writes itself. Having come across titles like, "Edward Penishands", "The Evil Head", "The Da Vinci Load", "Ten-inch Mutant Ninja Turtles" & "Les Jizzerables", I think it’s easy to see what I mean.
The porn parody reminds us that adult entertainment isn’t just about nude folk bumping uglies. Granted, that’s a lot of what it is. But, it’s also about role play, fantasy and just generally having a bit of fun with it. The porn industry can sometimes get a bit of a bad wrap - I think the porn parody offers some much needed light relief and helps to push back on some of that.
No medium or genre is off limits when it comes to the porn parody; TV shows, movies, comics, games, cartoons, even songs (see "Molly’s Wrecking Ballz: A XXX Parody" from 2014!). You name it, if there is a relatively well known fictional character in something, chances are there’s a porn parody version of that character tucked away on an obscure porn DVD in a garage somewhere.
As the porn industry begins to move with cutting edge technology, e.g. computer graphics & AI generated content, who knows where the porn parody is headed. If (for some reason, not judging, you do you) you’ve ever felt like you want to see Homer & Marge Simpson go at it, or wondered what it might look like if Family Guy’s Quagmire finally gets to go steaming through Lois Griffin, that stuff is already just one Google search away. There is also a plethora of high quality, computer generated porn scenes featuring the likes of Lara Croft - no more attempts at firing off that difficult one to pixelated, pointy tits (90s throwback).
It’s the AI generated content that could well end up being the most controversial when it comes to the porn parody. With the whole deepfake saga, we discovered it’s already possible to essentially put anyone’s face on anyone’s body, and that technology is only getting more and more powerful. At this point it’s not hard to imagine that the future of porn parody will consist of completely accurate recreations of movies and actors getting into situations that were never intended. Controversial? Yes. A legal minefield? Yes. Am I here for it? Also yes.
One of the best things about the porn parody is that the adult actors have the opportunity to demonstrate their acting, for better or worse. Largely worse, let’s face it, that’s what makes it fun. They’re not just huge tits, big dicks and hot bods, there’s some talent in there. Joking aside, this is certainly true in some cases. Two British porn stars that will be relatively well known to anyone that has been following Babestation for a while did make the jump from the adult industry and the mainstream, namely Sarah Knite & Ella Hughes. Both of these Babestation legends had minor parts in the first series of Game Of Thrones.
Incidentally, Game Of Thrones was the subject of another bit of Babestation porn parody peddling, having gained access a few years back to our very own Iron Throne. At this point, maybe it’s a good idea to stop waffling on and present some examples of the sort of thing we’re talking about. These are in no particular order, we’re not ranking them.
The Great British Bonk Off (2017)
I doubt there is anybody wondering what this classic British porn parody from 2017 is based on. If you ever wondered what an episode of The British Bake Off would look like if they neglected the baking and the whole thing instead devolved into a giant orgy, this one's for you. It’s from Television X and stars some well known very hot UK adult babes like blonde MILF Rebecca Moore, along with Lexi Lowe, Sienna Day & Alyssa Divine! You’ll find characters like Mary Cherry & Paul Hardywood having their way with the sexy contestants. Again, you just know this is one that started out with some bright spark thinking of the title. Then all you need is a marquee and a blonde bob wig!
Hard Brexxxit (2017)
Television X were seemingly knocking it out of the park with their porn parodies during the late 2010s. Starring the likes of Rebecca Moore, Busty Cookie, Alexis May, Tina Kay & Lacey Starr, this is a political spoof based around, obviously, the Brexit referendum. I feel like they really outdid themselves with some of the character names in this one. You’ll find Tronald Dump, Teaser Maynot (of the Whorey Party, of course), Jizza Cwoarbin (Laymore Party), Angular Merkin and even comrade Gladimhere Putitin (I’d be proud of that one myself). The story, to the extent one exists, focuses on the ins-and-outs (ooh err) of running their political parties and how, so often, things can be settled with a bit of heavy petting.
Sherlock: A XXX Porn Parody (2016)
Stepping away from the hilarity of low-budget spoofs from British studios and into something a little more polished, this one is from Digital Playground. Wikipedia tells us that Digital Playground has been called one of the five biggest porn studios in the world and is one of a handful that dominate the US porn industry. Founded in the early 90s and incredibly successful, Digital Playground has the chops and the cash to really do it right! Starring a host of top-level British porn stars, e.g. Danny D, Stella Cox, Ella Hughes, Sienna Day & Linsey Dawn McKenzie this is a hardcore take on the successful BBC series of (sort of) the same name.
The Iron Lady Garden (2017)
Right, that’s enough of the big budget stuff, back to TVX and what a year they had in 2017. Starring Jess West & Rebecca Moore (as the young and older versions of ‘Aggie Snatcher’, of course), Hannah Shaw & Danny D, this spoofs the life and times of Margeret Thatcher, as well as the TV series with a similar name. This one is actually a 5 episode TV series, including episode titles like "Vote Snatcher", "Fuckaroo & Fucklands War". Honestly, it must’ve been such a laugh working at TVX in 2017.
Down On Abby: Tales From Bottomley Manor (2014)
This absolute classic of a porn parody is from British porn studio Harmony Films and apparently gained a bit of publicity and was seen as a bit controversial when it was released in 2014. Based on the massive TV series Downton Abbey, it’s a who’s who or British porn star talent. Supporting Lexi Lowe as Abbyand Ben Dover as Lord Grabhem are Ava Dalush, Cathy Heaven, Emma Leigh, Jasmine Jae, Jasmine James & Jess West. As for the plot, join Lord Grabhem and his wife, Lady Wanda (Jasmine Jae) and their two promiscuous daughters Abby & Fanny as they invite their friends (The Stiffies) to dinner at Bottomley Manor. As they night goes on, it becomes clear to Butler Smallcock that some of the guests have a different idea of how the night should play out.
Queen of Thrones: A XXX Parody (2016)
Game Of Thrones is a show that is ripe for parody, so it’s no surprise that this offering exists. Produced by giant US studio, Brazzers, it stars British porn stars Rebecca Moore, Ella Hughes, Tina Kay & Danny D. The series is set in Westernessand follows John Doe (Xander Corvus) as he negotiates a partnership with the dangerous Queen Sexcei (Rebecca Moore), in an existential battle against the Dead Walkers! As you might imagine, everyone involved needs to get their hand on the biggest weapon they can find to defeat this enemy, one that has no trouble penetrating the thickest armour! This is a four-part series and, all-in-all was well received, so if you’re into the porn parody, you should give it a look!
The Da Vinci Load (2006)
Including this one because you have to love that title. From all the way back in 2006 and Hustler Video across the pond, it’s listed as a ‘comedy’ and features pornstars like Tory Lane, Eva Angelina, Missy Monroe & Haley Paige. The brief synopsis that I could find suggests that operatives from ‘The Priory Of Semen’ discover that Leonardo da Vinci actually used his own sperm on the canvas while painting the Mona Lisa (is nothing sacred?!). There is a sequel, apparently, namely "The Da Vinci Load 2" - "Angels & Semen". Bravo.
Missionary Impossible (2006)
There isn’t much to know about this one from my cursory search around the web, but one thing I do know is that the title amused me enough to include it. It apparently runs for over 4 hours, so that should be about enough to scratch any itches you might have. It does star some classic US pornstars from the noughties, e.g. Julia Ann, Kaylani Lei, Brittany Andrews, Felicia Fox, Jessica Drake & Alexa Rae. It’s from a huge studio in Wicked Pictures, another one of those west coast firms that have dominated the porn industry from the early 90s. At least you know you’re getting quality!
The Porn Identity (2005)
Considering the Hollywood movie this one is based on was released in 2002, I think it’s an absolute travesty that it took 3 years to come up with this. Produced by Hustler Video and starring Veronica Da Souza, Jassica Jaymes & Dillon Day, this one even has a full synopsis on IMDB. According to that, you’ll meet nymphomaniac Jasmine Bourne as she tries to piece together her true identity, all while trying not to stay one step ahead of the assassins from the ‘Treadbone’ Project. It says “At its core, The Porn Identity is the story of a woman who learns that some dongs are best forgotten.”. I’m sure there are many girls out there that wouldn’t argue with that.
Top Guns (2011)
Another one from giant US studio Digital Playground, this features top pornstars of the early 2010s, Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross, Raven Alexis, Riley Steele & Stoya. A big-budget production, this one is less comical parody and more of a straight, hardcore reproduction of the original movie. It centers around a group of hotshot pilot babes and their ongoing competition with the flyboys. Everyone gets laid and there’s even a hot hangar orgy to see it out!
